Chief Executive

Bob joined Public Trust in late December 2013, as Chief Executive.

Prior to joining Public Trust, Bob has held a number of positions at chief executive and managing director level, as well as serving on several Boards. Bob’s strengths are in the areas of strategy, organisational restructuring and operational performance management. He brings with him a wealth of experience in the finance and investment sectors as well as in telecommunications and information technology.

Bob has a Bachelor of Commerce and is a member of the Institute of Directors.

Bob lives in Auckland. His interests include activities centred at, in, or near the water.

Liz Style

Liz Style

General Manager – Legal & Risk

Liz Style started her role on 24 June 2013.

She has extensive commercial, legal and operating experience at a senior level and has held roles as General Counsel and as Chief Operating Officer, in addition to many years spent in private legal practice.

Among other things, her previous commercial experience includes general commercial law, project management, change management, commercial operations, due diligence and corporate structure and governance.

Matt Sale

General Manager – Retail Customers

Matt joined Public Trust in February 2014, in a newly created position responsible for leading our customer facing Retail Customers teams.

Matt has worked in senior leadership positions for over ten years, in a variety of roles across New Zealand, Europe and Australia. He has significant experience in creating and leading business realignment and cultural changes that deliver better results for staff, customers and stakeholders.

Matt holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree, specialising in marketing, and a Graduate Diploma of Finance from Otago University.

Matt lives in Auckland with his young family and likes to spend his spare time outdoors, in a variety of sporting and family-friendly pursuits.

Karen Hudson

Karen Hutson

General Manager Culture, Capability & Change

Karen started her role at Public Trust in July 2015. She has extensive experience in both operational and strategic HR management particularly in multifaceted transformation programs of scale.

Her career highlights include several years reporting directly to the CEO of a global insurer, navigating complex global organisational operating models and cultures, and successfully delivering transformation programs of unprecedented scale and complexity.

British-born Karen has a Master of Arts from the University of Westminster, London, Bachelor of Science with Honours in Psychology and is an alumni of the highly esteemed ‘Global Women’ intensive leadership programme.

She is a member of the Human Resources Institute of New Zealand (HRINZ).

John Ross

John Ross

General Manager – Corporate Trustee Services)

John joined Public Trust in November 2016 and was appointed General Manager Corporate Trustee Services effective 1 February 2017. His role involves managing the Corporate Trusts business for Public Trust, which includes the supervision of all forms of securities issues, as well as developing our Corporate Trust business. John has particular expertise in the financial sectors of both Australia and New Zealand as well as operations and strategic planning.

Prior to his move to financial services, he served as an officer in the Royal New Zealand Navy. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Auckland University, Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment and a Diploma of Financial Services (Life Insurance).

John lives in Wellington and he enjoys family time and the occasional round of golf.

Angela Dixon

Angela Dixon

Chief Financial and Information Officer

Angela, a Chartered Accountant and qualified solicitor, has been working most recently in insurance and for the last 10 years, in several roles here and in the UK.

Recently Angela was the General Manager of Operational Excellence within the Direct insurance division of IAG which trades under the AMI, State and NAC customer brands.  Prior to this she was the Head of Business Performance and Planning for the wider IAG NZ business.

Angela was closely involved with the initial purchase of AMI and the eventual integration and transformation of that brand. Prior to IAG Angela has had roles in Strategy at Auckland International Airport Ltd and Telewest communications Plc, and finance roles at Royal Sun Alliance Plc and PWC NZ and UK. Angela recently was elected as Regional councillor for Auckland for Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. She also has a keen interest in investing in start-up companies and is a member of Arc Angels a group focused on finding equity for female led business.
