Public Trust, one of New Zealand’s largest trustee organisations, has cemented its commitment to being dementia-friendly, with the launch of a three year partnership with Alzheimers New Zealand.
Two in every three kiwis are affected by dementia and it’s considered to be one of New Zealand’s most significant and growing healthcare challenges. Worldwide, nearly 44 million people have Alzheimers or a related dementia.
The sponsorship will run for three years and will produce six resource books in partnership with Alzheimers New Zealand. These will be available to the wider community.
The partnership will also see Public Trust provide people with dementia and their families the ability to access independent third party advice to help them protect and manage their family interests and assets.
As part the agreement, Public Trust has a special offer just for Alzheimers New Zealand clients: a free half-hour consultation with one of our Senior Trustees.
From 1 October 2014, Public Trust has committed to become a 'Pick Me Help Plunket' partner for three years. This means the two organisations will officially be allies, intent on growing a sustainable, long term relationship, designed to help and protect New Zealand families.
Both Plunket and Public Trust are trusted brands and household names in New Zealand, and both have been around for more than a century. Public Trust was founded 141 years ago and Plunket was started in 1907 by Sir Frederick Truby King to 'help the mothers and save the babies'. Both organisations have been carefully built on similar values such as trust, integrity, honesty and expertise, and have a clear focus on the future.
As part our sponsorship package, Public Trust has a special offer just for Plunket parent's: a $50 discount when you write or update your Will.
