Contestable Grant Applications
This grant round will open annually beginning March, closing middle of April.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by end of May.
Maximum grant amounts up to $15,000.
The Trustee will advertise in appropriate media inviting organisations to make applications for a grant. Applications are to be completed online via ‘Smarty Grants’. The online application allows applicants to input information/answer questions and supporting documentation can be uploaded to support the applications. Late applications will not be accepted. The Board's primary focus for funding is in the Christchurch / Canterbury region.
For accountability the following is required:
The name of the Trust and the grant amount is acknowledged in annual accounts and/or as a note to the accounts.
The name of the Trust and grant amount is acknowledged in the annual report.
An official receipt to be uploaded to Smarty Grants when the grant funds are received.
An accountability report on the completed project or progress on the project within 12 months of receipt of the grant to be uploaded to Smarty Grants. The accountability report to cover: project budget; project actual costs; and one to two pages on the project (may include, numbers attending/supported, benefit to your clients, success of the project, continuance, what worked and what did not work).
How to apply
Applications open, 3rd March 2025 at 9am and close on 15 April 2025 at 5pm. Applicants will be advised of the outcome by end of May 2025. Please note this date may be subject to change in which applicants will be notified prior.
