The Page Trust was established in 1970 by Manawatu dairy farmers, Frederick and Eileen Bridget Page, both now deceased. The annual income from the Page Trust is distributed annually to charities and schools operating in specific funding areas of Hamilton and of Palmerston North.
The Page Trust is a Registered Charity under the Charities Act 2005, Registration No. CC24217.
Funding Eligibility Criteria
In order to be eligible to apply for funding from the Page Trust applicants must be:
- A charity registered with Charities Services, or a school registered with the Ministry of Education, and
- Operating within the specific funding areas of Hamilton and /or Palmerston North (see funding area maps below).
Please note the Page Trust now calls for applications from both Hamilton and Palmerston North funding areas annually.
The minimum grant available is $3,000 and the maximum is $10,000.
Individuals, sports organisations and service clubs are not eligible to apply. The Page Trust does not fund overseas projects.

How to apply
The Trust will be open for applications for both funding regions from the 1st of June to the 31st of July annually.

Terms and Conditions
- Only one application per organisation / school will be accepted in a grant round.
- The Trustee’s decision is final.
- Decisions regarding grants are made on the basis of information provided in the application forms, supporting material and other enquiries.
- Grants may be approved subject to certain conditions. In such circumstances the funds will normally be held by Public Trust until the conditions have been met.
- Accountability requirements from 2020 - any applicant who received funding in 2020 that has not uploaded a receipt for the grant to the 'Smarty Grants' database will not be considered in the 2021 grant round. (Or who has not made alternative arrangements with the Trustee in this respect.)
- All successful applicants must record the grant in their accounts as “Public Trust – The Page Trust".
- Successful grant applicants will be required to provide the Trust with information for accountability purposes.
- Incomplete or late applications will not be accepted, nor will applications for retrospective funding.
- Applications requesting funding for overseas projects will not be accepted.
- Applications not based in or supporting people within either or both of the Trust funding regions will not be accepted.
