Contestable Grant Applications

This grant round will open annually beginning March, closing end of April.
Applicants will be notified of the outcome of their application by 1 June 2020.

Maximum grant amounts up to $10,000

The Trustee will advertise in appropriate media inviting organisations to make applications for a grant. Applications are to be completed online via ‘Smarty Grants’. The online application allows applicants to in-put information/answer questions and supporting documentation can be uploaded to support the applications. Late applications will not be accepted. The Boards primary focus for funding is in the Christchurch / Canterbury region.

For accountability the following is required;

  • The name of the Trust and the grant amount is acknowledged in annual accounts and/or as a note to the accounts.
  • The name of the Trust and grant amount is acknowledged in the annual report.
  • An official receipt to be uploaded to Smarty Grants when the grant funds are received.
  • An accountability report on the completed project or progress on the project within 12 months of receipt of the grant to be uploaded to Smarty Grants. The accountability report to cover; project budget; project actual costs; and one to two pages on the project (may include, numbers attending/supported, benefit to your clients, success of the project, continuance, what worked and what did not work)
