Public Trust appoints Chris East as Chief Information Officer
Media Release 25 May, 2020
Public Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Chris East to the role of Chief Information Officer.
Chris joins Public Trust after more than 12 years at the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA), most recently in the role of Chief Advisor to the CEO. His other roles at the DIA include the position of Acting Deputy CEO (Corporate Services) where he was responsible for leading a team of over 400 spanning finance, HR, ICT, property, communications, information management and security. He also held the role of Chief information Officer at the DIA for four years, leading the Department’s technology strategy and delivery.
As the only Wellington-based member of Public Trust’s Executive Team, Chris’ appointment will strengthen Public Trust’s presence in the capital. He will be responsible for leading the delivery of our technology strategy and enhancing how Public Trust supports its customers and people.
Public Trust CEO Glenys Talivai says Chris’ proven ability to drive change at both a strategic and operational level, as well as strong senior stakeholder management at Board and ministerial levels, will be a real asset to the organisation.
Chris will begin his role with Public Trust on 22 June 2020.
