Like many organisations, as the situation with the COVID-19 coronavirus continues to evolve, Public Trust is taking the utmost care to protect our people, customers and the wider New Zealand community.
Our commitment is to continue to serve our customers, and I want to reassure you that we are open and able to help you with your estate planning and management needs.
We have put in place some protocols for our people to follow when they are interacting with customers. These protocols are designed to keep both you and our people safe.
We’re practising social distancing, which means our people will stay at least 1 metre away in their interactions with you. They will also be following increased hygiene practices as outlined by the Ministry of Health.
While our customer centres remain open, please do not come in to see us if:
you are feeling unwell in any way, such as exhibiting any cold or flu symptoms
you have been overseas in the last 2 weeks (Note: the Government requests 2 weeks of self-isolation upon returning to New Zealand)
you have been in contact with anyone who has returned from overseas in the last 2 weeks or is currently in self-isolation.
If any of these circumstances apply to you, please call us on 0800 371 471 to reschedule your appointment.
We’re also asking you to consider whether we can host your meeting over the phone or use video conferencing rather than meeting in person.
Again, I want to reassure you that we’re doing all we can to protect our customers and the New Zealand community from a wider outbreak, and are closely monitoring and responding to information from the Ministry of Health.
We’ll keep you updated on any further changes we need to make in how we operate.
In the meantime, thank you for your patience and understanding over this time, and take care of yourself and each other.
If you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact our team on 0800 371 471.
