New centre shows ongoing commitment

Public Trust has reinforced its commitment to the Canterbury region by relocating its Timaru office to a new customer centre in the city.


Timaru customer centreLocated at ‘The Landings’ on the corner of Elizabeth and Theodosia streets, the new centre offers greater accessibility and a more welcoming space to engage with customers.

Public Trust has had a presence in Timaru since 1922. In that time, it is estimated that more than 80,000 wills have been written for the people of South Canterbury.

“The investment in the new premises shows that we take what we do and our role in the community seriously,” says Public Trust’s Chief Executive, Bob Smith. “It reflects our desire to continue to provide the very best will, estate administration and trust services to the region.

“The Timaru team is really looking forward to continuing to serve the people of South Canterbury from this great new customer centre.”

To give the new premises a regional flavour, the customer meeting rooms have been named after local geographical features – specifically, Dashing Rocks, Jacks Point and The Bay.

As well as the new site, the Timaru team will be bolstered with the addition of a new Associate Trustee in the near future.
