Putting a face to the name

Grahame Vial worked for Public Trust from 1911 until 1916, when he enlisted to go to war. He was killed in Ypres in Belgium on September 27, 1917, aged 22.

On 15 March 2015, Stuff ran a story about Grahame Vial (shown in the image above, front row right) as one of many young men whose name appears on various plaques commemorating those who were killed during World War I.
