WR Kettle Trust
The WR Kettle Trust provides grants to charitable, educational or community organisations which help relieve poverty and financial hardship of children and adults who live within the areas of Greymouth, Cobden, north to Barrytown, east to Ngahere and from Kumara Junction to Otira.
Individuals, sports organisations and service clubs are not eligible to apply.

History
The WR Kettle Trust was established in 1964 through the Will of Viola Maude Kettle as a memorial to her father, William Robert Kettle, one of Greymouth¿s best known citizens. A very successful businessman, William Kettle invested in many business ventures including gold and coal mining. He went into politics and in 1891 was elected a Councillor of the Greymouth Borough. He played a prominent part in local affairs, holding positions in many local organisations and in 1893 was elected Mayor of Greymouth.
