Corporate Trustee Services is one of the larger corporate trustee teams in the country. Our team has broad commercial experience in the financial services industry, and other business sectors, with involvement and experience in a diverse range of corporate trustee roles.

Senior team members are actively involved with many professional bodies such as the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Institute of Finance Professionals New Zealand, Society of Actuaries, and the Law Society.

Dennis Church, General Manager Corporate Trusts

BBS, AETI, CA, CFIP, MBA

Dennis joined Public Trust in August 2005, and was appointed General Manager Corporate Trustee Services in June 2008. Dennis has over 20 years experience in corporate trustee work. He has particular expertise with corporate finance, structured finance transactions and all forms of securities issues (wholesale and retail), subordinated debt, and particularly capital notes/bonds and hybrid issues. He has a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in financial management, and is a member of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of NZ (ICANZ) and the Institute of Finance Professionals (INFINZ).

Lloyd Wong, Senior Manager Client Services,

LLB, DIP. BUS. (Marketing)

Lloyd joined Corporate Trustee Services in January 2002, establishing the Corporate Trustee Services Auckland office. He previously held senior executive positions of Assistant Public Trustee, Corporate Secretary and Legal Counsel for Public Trust in Wellington. Experienced in corporate trustee work, with particular expertise in the funds management sector, Lloyd also has 15 years experience as a trust and property lawyer.

He has an LLB from the University of Canterbury and a post-graduate Diploma in Business from the University of Auckland Business School.

Robert Gatward, Senior Manager Client Services

Robert heads up the Wellington client services team, joining Corporate Trustee Services in February 2009. He is responsible for providing a high level of service directly across all appointments, including KiwiSaver and superannuation funds, unit trusts, debt securities, structured finance and participatory securities appointments. Robert has 20 years experience in the financial services industry and wider business knowledge which enables him to help clients create innovative solutions.

David Campbell, Manager Custodial Services

David manages one of our fastest growing areas - custodial services. He has built up his experience with over ten years in New York, London and Hong Kong and joined the team in 2000.

Kathy Brennan, Manager Client Services

Kathy joined Corporate Trustee Services in January 2008 after spending three years in the Personal Financial Planning industry.  Kathy previously held positions in business analysis/strategic planning and account management, within government and utility companies. Kathy has a Diploma in Accounting.

Dean Apps, Manager Client Services

Dean is a qualified actuary who spent over 25 years in the superannuation industry, in New Zealand and Canada, before joining Corporate Trustee Services as a client relationship manager in 2002. His main role at Corporate Trustee Services is servicing large retail funds, KiwiSaver and employer-sponsored superannuation funds. He is involved in the full range of activities associated with the annual cycle of superannuation schemes and unit trusts.

Peter Shanahan, Senior Trust Officer

Peter works with clients in the managed funds area. He joined Corporate Trustee Services in 1988 and has an extensive background in merchant banking, and as a company secretary.

Martyn Ogilvie, Senior Trust Officer

Martyn has been in the financial services industry for over 15 years and has extensive experience in unit trusts, debt securities, superannuation schemes and custodial services.
